Today I want to show you a very simple exercise that you can do to help if you’re worried about bunions or the movement of your big toe across your foot.

If your mom, dad, grandma, or grandpa anybody like that’s got a bunion what we notice is that there’s a genetic predisposition for the big toe to basically move across your foot.

One of the major drivers of that is really muscle weakness. and a lot of our intrinsic muscles (the muscles inside our feet) are actually quite weak and don’t work.

One of the big muscles in our feet which we call abductor hallucis basically goes to sleep and that muscle is really responsible for stopping the big toe from moving across.

So what you actually need to do is build some strength on that particular muscle

So What I wanna do today very quickly is to show you how to do this exercise.

It looks really simple but for most people for the first week of doing it they don’t actually feel like anything is actually happening and that’s because this is really an activation exercise.

So it’s really just an exercise we use to switch the muscle on before we then starting loading it up with strengthening work to actually make it stronger.

Okay without any further ado, let’s get straight into it!
